Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: You are My Sunshine, Chorus
Cee’s challenge reminded me of a musical stuffed lion, who sang “You are my sunshine”, that I had bought for my daughter when she was 2. Many times I hugged my daughter while she hugged the lion and together, we sang “You are my sunshine” cheerfully. It was probably the only English song I knew how to sing other than “Happy Birthday”. 😉
The lion is long gone. My daughter has grown up becoming a wonderful independent woman whom I admire greatly.
So… here I present you a photo of Oxbow Park. 😉 (I don’t remember if I have posted this photo before.)
Love the story you share, Helen. This is such a cool shot!

Thanks, Amy. Time goes so fast. I miss the time before she went to school and I could hug her at any moment 😉 Helen

Yes, we do Helen! I just came across some postcards one of my sons sent me when he was hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, from California/Mexico border and almost to WA. Time does fly by…

Thanks, Cee. To be honest, I probably liked that lion more than she did. She liked it but I liked it more, because I love that song. 😉 Helen

Great picture, Helen. I used to sing each of my children to sleep with a special song that was all their own. My youngest’s song was You Are My Sunshine. He always made me sing both verses, even though the second one is rather sad.

Thanks for stopping by, Susan. The lion only sang the first verse, and I thought that was the whole song. Ha ha… Thanks for letting me know. Helen
