Cee’s Black & White Challenge: Fences
I took this picture when we visited Paris early this year. I thought those bikes were quite inviting. 😉

This is great Helen 🙂 interesting leading lines, and the monochrome just strips the scene to essential tones.

Those were city bikes. Anyone can ride it. Taipei (Taiwan) has the same thing. I thought it is pretty cool. Helen

Thanks, Cee. Saw your comment on our way to the city to pick up our daughter. Yes, the kid is home now. Yeah!
I am so glad that you finally feel better. Stay away from anyone who has a cold! 😉 I heard there is a bad one circling around. Take care! Helen

Such a beautiful shot ~ isn’t that the best thing about the WP community, learning from all the talent out there? After I saw your shot, while so impressed I also think I took a sub-conscious mental note about ‘checking all angles’ as just a few inches takes something quite ordinary and makes it extraordinary 🙂 Looking forward to a great ’15 for us 🙂

Good morning, Randall. Yes, I am grateful for WP community! I like to tell you that after reading your post, I am looking for an opportunity here in town to volunteer next year. I’ve learned that sending money is only a part of it. And I thank you! Helen

It is a little early for me out here (a bit jet-lagged but not bad!). There is something so special at seeing happiness where you’d least expect it, and it seems that we can get so lost in material things (and with work, et. al.) that unbeknowst to us we lose touch with the simple, great things in life. At least that is the way it can be for me ~ always this battle to find balance.
It thrills me to hear that you are volunteering ~ it is this bridge that helps seeing life from a totally different perspective (in a sense a lot like photography). This trip to Tacloban was my first foray into doing more than just donating (and donating is such a great thing in its own right). Look forward to hearing more about this in ’15 ~ wish you the best!
