One Reason (out of many) to Love Minnesota

It was 25 degree, and not too windy — for us, that qualified as a good winter day. So we visited two parks, and once again, we remembered why we love Minnesota so much.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

If Minnesota is as inviting looking as your photos, I might just have to try winter holidays over there! Balmy ay, eh, Helen. Good evening, p

Ah, Helen. Such beauty is why I left Minnesota. 🙂 Growing up in northwest Minnesota where the wind and snow combined for some incredible blizzards, I just had to look for warmer climates. 🙂

Yes. I saw a lot of pretty winter photos from that area. When I think of Finland in winter, the first thing comes to my mind is “sauna and Ice swimming”. I wonder why we don’t do it here since we have plenty of lakes. Hmm…
Thank you for your comment. Have a great day.

Thank you, GP. I hope they make others like MN a little more, too.

I was thinking about one of your reply on your blog. You said, “If I get just one person curious enough to research on their own – then I have been a very successful person!!”

I, actually, have a different opinion on that. I think based on the number of people visited your blog, you already are a successful person. Every person is different. I’ll be honest with you, someday I am afraid of reading those kind of stories, because I care too much to see they get hurt. I don’t know how to say it. I am not a brave person for sure 😉 (Someday I am stronger 😉

Anyway, you provide us a connection to those who had done so much for our country, so they wouldn’t be forgotten. And for that reason, I believe you are a very successful person.

      Have a great day.

I really appreciate you saying so, Helen. I have to admit, sitting here reading your comment – I ended up blushing a bit. It’s encouragement like that that makes it all worth while!!
I can understand you having trouble reading some posts, don’t feel bad, you are NOT alone.

😉 But, we had too many of those stay-indoors days. Hmm… maybe we need some kind of vehicle that has clean glass window and can take us anywhere in winter – on snow, ice…
      Have a great day.

Thank you, Cee. It was really pretty out there. I was, actually, a little disappointed when I saw my photos. My husband felt the same way, which made me feel a little better. Ha.

  18. Minnesota seems like a place which is so easy to love, Helen! Exceptional pictures. Would you consider it a good budget travel destination?

    • Helen C says:

Thanks for your kind comment. I am not sure I am the right person to answer your question. MN is a nice place to visit. We have pretty parks, and Mall of America 😉 And hotel should be cheaper than many big cities. For someone who likes camping, I would say, it is definitely a good budget travel destination.
      Have a wonderful day.

I too live in Minnesota. So many people whine about the cold weather. I like your attitude.
Snow is beautiful and makes for beautiful photos as seen in this blog. The lone tree along side the road is my favorite.
