Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge: 2015 Week #27
Winona is a city in and the county seat of Winona County, in the state of Minnesota. Located in picturesque bluff country on the Mississippi River… – Wikipedia
When we visit Winona, we often stop at Acoustic Café for a cup of coffee and maybe a sandwich. Whenever I was there, I would stare at the lady dressed in white standing by the second floor window across the street. I wondered who she was, whom was she waiting for.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
I would definitely say this is an odd ball lady for sure. Thanks Helen for playing 😀

Good morning, Cee. The moment I took the photo, I was thinking of your odd ball photo challenge, and then I forgot all about it ;-(
Have a great day!

Helen, she is not real, and is only a painting. I just don’t think putting a kerosene lamp next to a curtain is that safe. 😀

Good morning (it’s morning here ;-), Rommel. It is a painting of a real person in the past, isn’t it? The more I stare at her, the more I feel she is alive 😉 There is something in her face that attracts me. She seems knowing that whatever she is waiting for will never happen. Many people are familiar with that feeling.
Have a wonderful day. Every time I heard the word Greece, I think of you. I hope everything will turn out all right.
Have a wonderful day!

Such an interesting window, or wall. She looks very friendly, though. I hope she hasn’t scared anyone drinking their coffee across the street 😀 I wonder does she light up at night. That would be an interesting sight. I’m guessing probably not. Hope you had a good time in Winona 🙂

Ha ha, Mabel, now you made me curious. I think I have to go there at night to check it out one of these days. Winona is a small college town. It has good concerts during summer. A good place to visit!
Thanks for commenting, Mabel. Have a wonderful day/night.

If you do go there back at night, let us know. I’m sure if you popped by again in the day and ask someone in the area and they’d be able to help you out 🙂

I will see if I can take a photo or find someone to take a photo at night. I’ve debated if I wanted to ask someone about the painting. In a way, I like the story to be unknown 😉
Have a great day!

Oh, I love what an oddity this is Helen. Words will not fit into the picture but I imagine she leaves the lamp by the window as a welcome home for her man. Oh I can think more stories. May I use the photo credit to you

Absolutely, Perpetua! I feel honored. Looking at her expression, her man must be late and it wasn’t the first time either 😉 Can’t wait to read your story!
