Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Catching People Unaware
When we arrived at Taliesin West, I told myself to pay attention to the tour guide this time. I thought while taking photos, I could still listen. After all, I don’t use my ears to take photos, do I? Well, I was wrong. I soon learned that my heart (my brain?) doesn’t multitask. ;-(
Great capture! I love this one. 🙂 my brain doesn’t, but I can’t stop trying 🙂

Thank you, Amy. I always felt bad that I’d only listened 1/3 of what tour guide said. This time I made a point to myself and wanted to change, but it was harder than I thought. 😉

Great shot and they look like they were listening very intently.

Thank you, Ruth. I was glad that some people were listening to the tour guide 😉 (So sorry to hear the news about Ali. I wish I had some wisdom words to say… Take care.)

Thanks for telling me that, Dawn. 😉 Hmm… I wonder if it’s something we can do after practice. 😉

You would have missed this great capture if you have been listening to the tour guide! Nice shot, Helen.

But so many times when people talked about places I had visited before, I had no idea what they were talking about. I can show them photos, however. 😉

Me–I would so much rather see photos than have them ‘ramble on’….. Bring on the photos, Helen!

That’s the reason why guides say listen and take photos later. And who are these people not paying attention?

Not really. That’s my complaint of this place. They schedule this guided tour back to back. (That’s the only way to get in, I think.) Almost as soon as our tour guide finished his talk, we had to move on because next group was coming. Several times the next group showed up before he even finished. And there was no way to wonder around after the tour either because so many other groups were following us. ;-(

Oh dear, that’s a fast paced tour. I’m so used to catered group. So sorry.

Nice capture. You’re right in front but they don’t notice you. You’re in “dragon mode” now. 🙂

Thank you. They were really paying attention to the tour guide, which was what I was supposed to do 😉

I’m the same way- I always think I can multitask but really I can’t. Like the photo though!

Now I accept the fact that I can’t multitask. Hopefully whatever one thing I am choosing to do, I can do it well — that’s a challenge too. Ha.

Now I wonder what those two are thinking about? Perhaps they are watching your tour group disappear while you take their photo. 🙂 Thanks for the chuckle.

They were listening to the tour guide, but I have a feeling that their hearts weren’t 100% there. 😉

I know when I have a camera in my hand, my brain blocks out everything else. 🙂 Great candid Helen. 🙂

Thanks, Cee. I guess I didn’t realize I was using my brain. Ha.

I’d much rather be taking pictures than listening too, Helen 🙂 I have a hard time remembering facts and figures about a place when someone speaks them; I’d rather take photos and pick up my own guide book to read before (and after). Great photo for Cee’s challenge!

Thanks, Stacy. Guess I don’t have to feel too bad. Ha! (And I am not going to…)

I don’t know if you have visited this site. If you haven’t and if you have a moment, check this one out: https://sriramjanak.wordpress.com/ I call siriram master. Btw, he posts occasionally, and he doesn’t normally have time to visit other bloggers. You’re a photographer, I want to hear your comment. 🙂

Amy, I am following his blog, but I don’t know why his recent posts didn’t show up in my reader. I am kind of counting on reader to bring all the blogs that I am following to me. Have you experienced this before? Thank you for your comment. I will figure out how not to miss another of his post.

I have that problem all the time, happen to his more often. The master sometimes stops by and click a like somewhere, I know his new post is up.
