Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Catching People Unaware

When we arrived at Taliesin West, I told myself to pay attention to the tour guide this time. I thought while taking photos, I could still listen. After all, I don’t use my ears to take photos, do I? Well, I was wrong. I soon learned that my heart (my brain?) doesn’t multitask. ;-(

Thank you, Ruth. I was glad that some people were listening to the tour guide 😉 (So sorry to hear the news about Ali. I wish I had some wisdom words to say… Take care.)

You would have missed this great capture if you have been listening to the tour guide! Nice shot, Helen.

That’s the reason why guides say listen and take photos later. And who are these people not paying attention?

Not really. That’s my complaint of this place. They schedule this guided tour back to back. (That’s the only way to get in, I think.) Almost as soon as our tour guide finished his talk, we had to move on because next group was coming. Several times the next group showed up before he even finished. And there was no way to wonder around after the tour either because so many other groups were following us. ;-(

Nice capture. You’re right in front but they don’t notice you. You’re in “dragon mode” now. 🙂

I’m the same way- I always think I can multitask but really I can’t. Like the photo though!

Now I wonder what those two are thinking about? Perhaps they are watching your tour group disappear while you take their photo. 🙂 Thanks for the chuckle.

I know when I have a camera in my hand, my brain blocks out everything else. 🙂 Great candid Helen. 🙂

  10. I’d much rather be taking pictures than listening too, Helen 🙂 I have a hard time remembering facts and figures about a place when someone speaks them; I’d rather take photos and pick up my own guide book to read before (and after). Great photo for Cee’s challenge!

I don’t know if you have visited this site. If you haven’t and if you have a moment, check this one out: https://sriramjanak.wordpress.com/ I call siriram master. Btw, he posts occasionally, and he doesn’t normally have time to visit other bloggers. You’re a photographer, I want to hear your comment. 🙂

Amy, I am following his blog, but I don’t know why his recent posts didn’t show up in my reader. I am kind of counting on reader to bring all the blogs that I am following to me. Have you experienced this before? Thank you for your comment. I will figure out how not to miss another of his post.
