Share Your World – 2014 Week 24
This is my first try of Share-Your-World. I have tempted to do so several times in the past, but failed ;-( Yeah for my first step.
What makes you feel the most secure?
I feel most secure when I am home with my family.
If you were a shoe, what kind would you be and why?
Comfortable hiking shoes.
My hiking shoes have taken me many beautiful places. If I were a shoe, I want to bring happiness to my owner like my hiking shoes do to me… taking him or her to parks, climbing mountains… I’ll work hard so my owner doesn’t get tired easily.
How many languages do you speak?
English, and Chinese (Mandarin). Sometime I feel I am struggling with both. 😉 Always, I wish I could speak/write better in both.
What was the largest city you have been to? What is the one thing you remember most?
Is New York City larger than Chicago? I think so. What I remember most is all of those high rise buildings – my neck hurt. Hmm… maybe I should say Chicago. I can’t forget the man who was wearing a pair of leather pants… it had several big holes in it (use your imagination…)
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am grateful it didn’t rain on my golfing days. I finally figured out some of my swing problems and I was anxious to give it another try. However while the old problem seemed disappearing, the new ones started surfacing. ;-(
I am grateful I have managed to write every day. It was hard on a couple of days, but I am glad I did it.
After reading Cee’s post, I am grateful Cee is feeling better. I like to see nice people (all nice people) feeling well.
I am grateful I have met so many nice and talented people online.
What am I looking forward to in the week coming up? Another 18 holes (two 9 holes, to be exact). And finding another odd ball for Cee’s challenge.
I hope you do find another odd ball for this weekend!! Have fun on golfing and I’m still feeling better. 🙂

Cee, I am glad you feel better. Many of us have a lot of fun with your challenges. You need a lot of energy to deal with all of us 😉

Great post – and it seems like you live a rich life. Have fun with you 18 holes. What’s is your handicap? And, yes, New York is bigger than Chicago…

Thanks for visiting my blog, Otto. It’s such an honor. My handicap is so high that our club computer refused to record it 😉 I am not kidding. I have a good excuse though. I always play with my husband and he often gave me tips (like which club I should use) right after I picked a club, visualized how my ball will fly and ready to play. Golfing needs a lot of concentration. Whenever he broke my concentration, it would take 5 or 6 shots for me to recover. I have a talk with him recently. Hopefully soon I will get a better score. 😉
I am still thinking about your two posts on photograph. I have something in my mind and I hope I will post it tomorrow.

You should be able to find lots of balls on the golf course. Don’t know if they’d be odd.

It all depends on whose point of view, doesn’t it? 😉

1. Brilliant, well-educated and well-informed people make me feel insecure.
2. I’m with you on the comfortable hiking shoes.
3. Honestly? Only 1 language. I’m an ugly American. I have can survive in Germany, I have a junior high background in Spanish, and I muddled my way through Paris, reading signs and menus but totally baffled when anyone spoke to me.
4. Oh dear. I’m terrible at geography. Is NYC larger than Paris, Berlin? Really, I’m not sure.
5. Last week I was immensly grateful to have found and hired an exquisite cat sitter. I’m looking forward to learning the tricks of my brand new camera.
May your balls fly straight on all 18 holes.

Hello, Linda, Thanks for visiting my blog. Your first answer is very interesting. I have to think about it 😉 Do you know Cee has this share-your-world thing? If you click the link I have on the first line, you can read more about it. Then you can share your answer with many other people. Of course, I don’t mind you only wrote the answers for me. I feel special 😉
By the way, keep me posted on how you overcome the fear of street photographing, please! I really like to do it, but I am very scared.
