This is my submission for Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #68: Layered and #69: Seeing Double.
Sorry for being late for challenge #68. I was very impressed with Amy’s post about Plitvice lakes, and was anxious to submit mine, but I had never thought of “layers” in photos (don’t know why) and had a hard time to select any photo for the challenge. However, a week later, “layer” started making sense to me. Here are a couple of photos I had taken at North Adams, Massachusetts ;-).
Thank you, Amy.
Challenge #69… Tina said, “This week, let’s double our pleasure and focus on things that come in twos.”
Looking out of the window, I saw my neighbor and his son raking leaves in our front yard. Well, they were raking… 😉
Thank you, Tina.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
Hi, Helen. I think your “layers” shots are great and really put the concept into practice! The shot of “raking” the leaves is wonderful, too!

Thank you, Patti. It must be that I had spent too much time on Photoshop lately. When I saw the word “Layered”, all I could think of was how layers worked in Photoshop — one layer totally covers the next layer with different % of transparency. 😉 That was why I had a hard time to pick a photo. Seeing other’s post helped.
Have a wonderful day.

Thank you, Tina. They played with those leaves for almost half hour! Fun to watch. Half of leaves are still on the tree. Maybe I will have another photo opportunity. I hope. 😉
Have a wonderful day.

Thank you, Amy. Sorry it took me a while to comprehend layers in photos. Like I’d explained to Patti, I had Photoshop layers in my head when I read the word “layered”, and I wasn’t sure how to make it work. Learned something! Thanks.
Have a great day.

Your photo for the layered is perfect, and it’s so beautifully captured, as always.

the landscape images are amazing…the “layers” of color, light, and landscape took my breath away.

Thank you, Brenda. I was busy editing my nephew’s wedding photos and the only layer came to my mind was Photoshop layers 😉
How are you doing? It’s too cold for me already and we still have several winter months to go ;-(
Good night.

The cold of winter arrived and the leaves of the trees outside my window still hold on…it has been abrupt and there isn’t the gentle transition of fall.

Thanks, Anne-Christine. Unlike a lot of young kids, this boy loves having his pictures taken, which I consider is my blessing 😉
Have a wonderful day.

Thank you for your comment. It was a not a good year for fall colors. Some year, the leaves turned bright orange-red and were very pretty. This father and son team had raked leaves, shoveled snow… etc. for us. Great neighbor!
Have a wonderful day.
