This is my entry for Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #9: Action.
Patti said, “This week’s challenge is all about action.” She also wrote: “Thomas Jefferson is right. Our actions define who we are.”
I am not 100% sure our actions define who we are (I suspect that some of our actions don’t really come from our heart — do those actions still represent who we are?) I do believe, however, our actions often show how old we are.
(I probably could throw a snowball like that.)
(If I jump down like this girl, I probably will break some of my bones. 😉
(Wish I could swim like my grandniece!)
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Great photos, Helen–especially the snowball photo. It looks like it is melting as she is throwing it!

Thank you, Lois. The snow was somewhat wet. It wasn’t too cold that day. We could have a snowball fight if we didn’t carry a camera. Ha.
I think you are sleeping now. Good night and have a wonderful weekend.

Great pictures Helen, yes we all have our own definition for the word action. I feel that’s ok as the age grows. But it’s important to take part in them at some point in life. 😊 Cheers to you! 🥂

Thanks, Raj. Aging is a strange process, which I am trying hard to understand. I often remind myself how old I am so I wouldn’t do anything that would hurt myself 😉
Have a great day.

Actually we just have to go with the flow. We know internally what we can do what we should not do.. when body tell you .. respect it..

Thanks, Tina. Yes, today’s seniors are much more active. Still, knowing your limit is always wise 😉
Good night.

Lovely images Helen. Just remember the days when you were as old as your grandniece now and all the activities you were invloved in 🙂

Nice picture! May I know who’s that little girl in the middle photo? 😄

Thanks, Edward. The little girl in the middle is my neighbor Paul’s niece. Paul invited us to his family gathering a couple of times, and we took a lot of photos 😉
Have a wonderful day.

Great point…
Our actions do show who we are… another part of us who we don’t know well. they show our subconsciousness. they show our karma. Though the subtle thoughts and actions, we know ourselves deeply. ^^

Thanks, Lady Oscar.
Not sure I know myself deeply, but I do know more than yesterday 😉
Have a great day.

haha! me too. I know how difficult I was when I was a student! my goodness. I don’t even want to think about it.
I am playing a game to myself. I observe myself, my reaction to something, my thought to events (people’s daily actions or so…). Sometimes it is hard to face the fact that I was actually a “strict” and “angry” person no matter how subtle it was. Ah! So much to learn.
Just for fun. ^o^

She was having fun! She jumped again and again. Maybe she was trying to make sure I’d gotten a good shot. Ha.
Have a great day.
