My blogging friend Lois at On Pets and Prisoners has invited me to participate in the 7-Day Nature Photography Challenge. Lois is a one of the nicest person I have ever met online. Please stop by Lois’ blog and say hi 😉
The mission is to post a nature photograph for 7 days and to nominate a fellow blogger each day. I would like to invite Yan at From Hiding to Blogging to participate this challenge. I always think Yan has a special photographic voice. A refreshing voice! (Yan, I don’t know if you already did this or not. If not, I hope you will 😉

I don’t know if every state offers the same thing. Minnesota state park has this Passport Club thing. Basically, when you visit a state park, you can ask the park ranger to stamp on this little booklet (your passport), and when you have visited all MN state parks, you will get a reward. The reward is not much; being able to say I have visited all MN state parks is big!
We do have a lot of beautiful parks. Why do you think so many of us are willing to put up with the cold winter to live here?
Last but not least, “Cheers” to Lois. I am seeing a picture of cotton crop in my mind while staring at fluffy clouds in the sky — a good reason to have a drink, I believe.
haha! Cheers, Helen! That is a really great thing that MN does for those who visit all the state parks. What an incentive to get out and see your state.

Cheers, Lois. Some state parks have cabins that we can rent. Like most of the camp site, the restroom and bathroom are in a separate building, not inside of the cabin. I am still trying to build up my courage to give it a try. It sounds wonderful, but the park will be so dark and quiet and… I am not a brave soul. I think when I find 20 strong friends to go with, I will be ok…
Have a great day.

Hi H! I think people who live in Minnes-snow-da just like life! One of my favorite college teachers was from Minnesota and he said how much he loved living there and how he enjoyed a full winter for sweater weather and down jackets. Dr. Mooney was amazing…. and how cool to have the passport to get stamped – what a clever idea…. we are still trying to enjoy more of the state we live in (VA) but have not seen any passports…..

Thanks, Yvette. And we don’t have many bugs ;-).
VA is my home away from home! I go there at least twice a year. In fact, I am going there two weeks from now. Too hot in summer for sure, but nice in the winter time and you can go see cherry blossom in spring…
Have a great day.

Fairfax – near shopping mall, most of the time. Maybe Silver Spring, Maryland for a couple of days. Can’t wait.

What I really like about your nature challenge are the little messages you send Lois in each one. It makes me smile 🙂

Thanks, Joanne. Lois is a special lady. I meant every word I said 😉 To be honest, after 3 days, I started worrying if I had annoyed her, but I had to finish what started no matter what. Ha. (And later Lois said I didn’t 😉
Have a great day.

I can’t imagine it would be annoying! I would have used the word endearing 🙂
