Cee’s Black & White Challenge: Sculptures, Statues, Carvings
I just realize that today is the last day to submit to Cee’s Black and White (sculpture) challenge. When I first saw the word sculpture, I was sure that I could find at least 10 from our Italy trip photos. And I did.
But on second thought, I really think David deserves his own spotlight. So here he is…
Ahhhh…
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Nice photo Helen, you should post more photos of Italy, I’d love to see them. Italy is a place that I wish to visit one day.

Thanks, Elizabeth. The real problem is we have taken so many pictures – 2500 between my husband and I. It would be easier if we only took 50 😉
Thanks for the encouragement. Italy is a lovely country. You would love there!
Have a wonderful evening.

You read my mind, Perpetua. Ha ha… I was debating if I should use the whole picture or not, and as a Chinese, I finally decided to show 1/2 of the photo. I am laughing now 😉

As a Filipino, I would, modesty aside for the sake of art😅

Thank you, Amy. It’s an amazing sculpture. We circled it (him? 😉 around many times, couldn’t get enough of it. Have you seen it?
I am so happy you like my photo. When I stood in front of the sculpture, I didn’t think I could take a good photo of it. I just kept clicking! ;-).

I did a story on David sculpture. I think it’s still under Art page, entitled ” Powerful too powerful to be hold” 🙂

I’ve visited David and seen many photos of it too, but I love this angle, unique. Incredible to think it is marble! Lovely photo Helen.

Thank you, Jet. It is an experience that I can never forget. I am sure you feel the same way. I had seen many photos before. Still, I was quite shock when I saw the real thing. 😉

Italy, Italy, Italy. I need to start saving some money for Italy. Haha. You should post more photos of Italy, Helen! 😀 2500 is not that many if you catalogue your image properly. You can quickly select 100 out of 2500 and process those images. I assume you use Lightroom?

Adhika, you will love Italy!!! I hope you will visit there soon because I would love to see your photos.
I am using Photoshop Element most of the time (99.9%); Photoshop when I have to. I have installed Lightroom long time ago, but haven’t made the switch. It’s like PC and Mac. After you get used to PC, it is hard to learn Mac.
Have a wonderful weekend.

I’m glad you used this top half only. We rarely notice this part when looking at the whole statue. He is quite lovely.
