Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge: Week 28
Since year 2009, Rochester is home to several 4 1/2 ‘ tall goose statues, all uniquely designed and decorated by local artists. I have to admit that I wasn’t too thrilled when I saw them the first time, but I like them now. Time, apparently, can do more than healing. Anyway, here is one…
Now this is a cool goose. You captured it well too. Thanks for adding it!! 🙂

In Liverpool, England, there were several giant lamb statues, decorated like this goose. Thanks for following me. I’m now following you.

Good morning, Carole. Now that you mentioned, I remember seeing some hand statue in one southern state. It’s fun seeing them. Thanks for visiting and following my blog. I follow yours because I enjoy reading your stories. Helen

I’m pleased you like my little short stories Helen. Isn’t social media wonderful in some ways. We get to meet so many interesting people. I love it.

Green Bay used to do something similar but with butterflies. At the end of each summer, they would be auctioned off for charity. Many people now have them in their gardens. I have seen a lot of communities do this with their own themes – I think it’s cool! This summer Egg Harbor in Door County did it with eggs. 🙂

Sue, after reading your comment, I think those geese were auctioned off too. It used to be I could found several downtown; now I only see one. I thought they moved them to other places. I am not good at following up what’s going on here. Ha. Helen

At least that goose can’t bite. Where’s the gander?

I’ve seen this done with horses and buffalo, but never geese. Good catch, Helen.
